The Aoraki Secondary Schools Mountain Bike Championships brought success for Mount Hutt College.
The 2024 championships were held at the Mt Hutt bike park last week.
The college had 26 riders in the event, four having finished in the top 10 at nationals held recently.
In the under-14 boys downhill, the college filled the podium. First was Eddie Green, second Max Coleman and third Owen Hende.
In the cross country first was Tom Currie, second Eddie Green and third Owen Hende.
The overall under 14 boys winner was Eddie Green.
The under-15 boys downhill event once again saw the podium filled by the college.
First was Baxter Florance, second Olly Bellew and third Campbell Copland.
In the cross-country Baxter Florance was first, and Olly Bellew third.
Baxter Florance also won overall winner in this age group.
In the downhill under-16 boys the top three places went Flynn Harden, Charlie Leitis and Mackenzie Currie.
This trio were champions in the cross country, Mackenzie Currie taking out top spot, followed by Flynn Harden and Charlie Leitis.
The overall winner was Flynn Harden.
In the under-17 boys Charlie Marshall took out first place in the downhill and Charlie Morris was third in the cross-country.
Archie McKerrow took out first place in the under-20 boys downhill section.
In the under-17 girls Issy Marr had a successful competition taking out first in the downhill, second in the cross country and was the overall winner.
