Property Brokers Ashburton have a kids pedal kart up for grabs for early entry registrations for their fun new Wheels Week Plus scooter race event this Sunday.
The Property Brokers Scooter Race is suitable for the whole family from kids under five through to grandparents of any age.
It is on Mother’s Day at the Ashburton Domain bike track (next to the Walnut Av paddling pool) from 10am to 12.30pm.
Property Brokers agent Mel Perriton said the Ashburton team were keen to get behind Wheels Week Plus and run an event for children and families.
‘‘It’s something fun and we’re pretty excited about it,’’ she said.
‘‘We can’t wait to see what the scooters look like and how many grandies or adults can be part of it as well.’’
There are four age-group categories with prizes – five and under, six to eight years, nine to 12 years, and adults.
Early registrations go into the draw to win a kids pedal kart, and all participants go into the draw to win a Mother’s Day hamper.
The event, on wet or fine, will have prizes for winners of the races as well as for best dressed, and best decorated scooter.
The team will also have a free sausage sizzle available from the barbecue.
For a day of fun for the whole family, just bring your own nonmotorised scooter and helmet; there will be some adult scooters available to borrow on the day.
People can register via the Property Brokers Ashburton office at 217 West St, or on the day at the venue.
