The Ashburton Street Sprint was on again last weekend as part of Wheels Week. The event organised by the Ashburton Car Club had competitors racing around cordoned off streets in downtown Ashburton’s industrial area. With perfect racing conditions on Saturday, late rain on Sunday tested the drivers skill and nerve behind the wheel. Josh Mitchell won the competition again with Stefan Moser-Rust coming second and third place going to Mark Higgins.
