The Menzshed complex is growing with the addition of a new office building on the grounds.
The group officially opened their new administration building last week.
The tape was cut by Menzshed member James Brunton and president Richard Durie gave a speech where he thanked the contribution made by various organisations, including the Braided Rivers Trust, NBS, The Courier newspaper and Russley Portables.
Richard, said they were grateful for the contributions because it meant that they fitted the portacom out at nextto-no-cost.
They had also poured a slab of concrete that will be used as an outdoor break area.
Richard said the new building was required because of lack of space.
‘‘We were working in the smoko room and a small office, as the membership grew, it simply became untenable, we couldn’t stay there.’’
The new office has three desks and a central table for meetings.
‘‘It is ideal for meetings,’’ Richard said. ‘‘There are people coming and going in here all the time.’’
