Do you fancy yourself as a bit of a singer?
If so, head along to one of two open rehearsals being held by the Mid Canterbury Choir this month – February 12 and 19, from 7.15pm, at St Stephens Church Hall on Park St, Ashburton.
Manager Carol Gunn said there was no need to book in.
‘‘You can either just come along and listen, or we will seat you with a current member so you can sing along. We sing a wide range of music. This is a great opportunity to see if choir singing is for you.’’
The choir rehearses weekly and performs four to five concerts each year.
This year the choir is planning a concert with renowned organist Martin Setchell on April 14, a Festival of Choirs on May 30, and Christmas concerts in December.
